Henley Golf Club Charity Day

Over 100 members of the club, and their guests, assembled for a shotgun start, followed by a lunch, auction, and silent auction. Over £13,000 was raised for the captain’s nominated charity, Prostate Cancer Research.

Head of Sales and Marketing at Shiplake Meadow commented, “As the golf club is within 2 miles of our village, we saw this as a great way to get involved in a community fundraising event and bring our village to the attention of the 550 members of the club. We had a very positive response to our banners, sponsor boards and branded menus, with a lot of people asking for more information.”

Our Sales Consultant Sarah Roberts was part of the organising committee and had several conversations with interested parties, and many brochures were taken.

Moving to a managed Retirement Community means more time to indulge in pastimes such as golf, as the gardens and maintenance are taken care of by the support team at Shiplake Meadows, leaving more leisure time for the residents to enjoy life their way.

Sarah and David are both long-term members of the golf club and can introduce both established and aspiring golfers to the club, it's professional and the golf academy for beginners.
